Environmental sustainability
We proudly embrace the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, in which achieving environmental sustainability is one of its main principles. We are aware of our relationship with the nature system that we depend on, and we are honored that our responsibility is to protect and preserve the traditional components in the lives of Saudis.
Biodiversity
The abundance and quality of biodiversity enhances the entertainment experience for visitors and residents, and affects their mental and psychological states and their appreciation of the natural environment. As far as possible, Qiddiya will enhance water efficiency and the use of native, salt-tolerant, and adaptive plant species. Qiddiya will also strive to create and maintain the right environment to attract local animals, insects and birds. Qiddiya will oversee the fertility and health of the soil, conserve water, prevent erosion, and reduce the need for fertilizers. This will further assist in preserving the site's unique biodiversity.
Waste management
Waste has potential value and we will strive to create the spirit of reducing waste and expanding reuse through waste-free designs, waste reduction strategies in construction and operation, material reuse and recycling. In the event that the materials are not reusable or recyclable, they will be given to the entities licensed to manage municipal solid waste.
Water resource development
We treat water as a precious and finite resource. We take water conservation strategies in the operational stages. We will strive to collect and use every natural water drop on site and to use our water resources in environmentally appropriate ways
